This plant is a deciduous perennial. The minute flowers are borne in flat-topped umbels, to 10cm across, and are followed by seeds. The feathery leaves are dark greenish-brown, turning lighter and more glacuous as they mature. Although a herb, this is a good plant for the mixed border.
characteristics
It's shape is described as upright. It grows to a height of 1.8m and 0.45m in width. It has feathery foliage that is brown. It produces flowers during mid summer that are tubular in shape and yellow in colour.
