It's shape is described as tall. It grows to a height of 3m and 5m in width. It has oval foliage that is light green. It produces flowers during mid summer that are funnel-shaped and red and yellow in colour.

This tender plant grows into a large and dominant plant and grows quickly. It requires a moist and well drained soil, preferring full sun, and a position in a container or in a vegetable garden. It is susceptible to and should be protected from beetles, fly, slugs and snails and caterpillars.
