Psylliostachys suworowii
More commonly known as:
Ratís tail statice or Russian statice

This plant is a deciduous annual. The tiny flowers are borne in dense spikes to 20cm long above the rosettes of leaves. The flowers are popular for cutting and can be dried well. Plant in a warm, sheltered spot in the border. This will tolerate a seaside garden.
It's shape is described as upright. It grows to a height of 0.45m and 0.3m in width. It has oval foliage that is light green. It produces flowers during summer/autumn that are tubular in shape and pink in colour.
