The nester will give dry, secure nesting and attract bees, which are essential pollinators, to your garden, while the attractive design will enhance your patio, garden or wildlife area. Ceramic bee nesters were originally made from straw or wicker, this nester is a modern interpretation of the century’s old design, and is made to provide an attractive and functioning item, suitable for any garden. This Bee nester is high fired and glazed clay, and is naturally frost and weather resistant -beautiful in appearance, it would make an ideal gift for any gardener or wildlife lover. The bee nester can be used from February onwards, with or without its base and is best located low to the ground in a sheltered position in dappled sunlight, such as under a hedgerow or adjacent to a wall line. If you can find some material from an old mouse nest or an old bumble bee nest the bees will be attracted to the nester quicker. If these materials are not available set it up as per the instructions, which are included, the bees may start using it straight away or they may lay down their scent on the bedding this year and start using it next year. Bought 2, one for a friend. How it she going to find pieces of mouse nest or old bee nest to set it up!!!!!! £33 is a lot of money for what amount to 2 garden ornaments!
