Galanthus Elwesii Snowdrop This plant is a deciduous bulb originating from Balkans, W. Turkey. It is notable for its striking scent. Slender, nodding white flowers with a honey scent and two green markings on each inner tepal, and broad, sometimes twisted foliage It's shape is described as short. It grows to a height of 0.22m and 0.08m in width. It has tapering foliage that is blue/green. It produces flowers during winter that are bell-shaped and white and green in colour. This hardy plant proliferates without intervention. It requires a moist and well drained soil, preferring semi-shade, and a position in a border, in a raised bed or in woodland. It is susceptible to and should be protected from fly.
