Haxnicks Deep Rootrainers encourage vigorous & strong root formation; roots grow straight, avoiding root balls and pot bound plants.

Here are just a few examples of the many plants that can be grown in the Deep Rootrainers:

  • Broad Beans, Runner Beans, French Beans, Beetroot.
  • Sweet Peas, Delphiniums, Sweet Williams, Wallflowers.

Opening the Rootrainer up in a book-like fashion allows for easy inspection of moisture levels and root progress, as well as satisfyingly easy removal of the young plants.

Deep Rootrainers are suitable for propagating and cultivating nearly all plants, trees, shrubs, herbaceous, fruit and vegetables; especially those that have deep fast growing roots such as sweet peas and beans.

Dimensions: W36 x D22 x H12cm

Each Pack Contains: 1 holding tray, 8 books and a clear propagating lid.

These are ideal for raising plants from seed. If in doubt about planting out, the rootrainers can be opened to check the root system. After planting out the seedling, the rootrainers can be washed and reused time and again.

I am very happy with the service I received from Greenfingers. The web site and ordering system was easy to use and the ordering and delivery processes went smoothly.

A great way to grow healthy plants. These seem flimsy at first, but then you realise the need for their flexible nature.

Great idea michael1809 on 25 July 2018

Superb propagating kit. Resulting plugs transplant well and plants get away quickly. Useful for a wide range of plants.

Great for all sorts of seedlings and cuttings. Unfortunately they only last for a few seasons - but well worth it.

The only drawback with these root trainers is no bottom tray is included which is necessary, as the root trainers do have a large hole in the bottom. My sweet peas are already two inches high so are well away for next year!
