Description

This Gardening Works Superior Big Square Compost Bin enables you to create compost while keeping your garden tidy at the same time – it’s a great way to recycle grass clippings and food waste.

As used by Alan Titchmarsh, Pippa Greenwood and Monty Don on Gardeners World!

This Compost Bin features new and improved 18mm (2cm planed) board thickness as standard.

Features:

  • By utilising the posts on any side of the Wooden Compost Bin and sliding new panels into them you can double, treble or quadruple the size of your bin in just a few minutes. Choose a Module with at least one side to match your existing Compost Bin.
  • Multiple compartments allow for one side to mature whilst filling another.
  • Sliding panels for easy removal of finished compost. Get the wheelbarrow right up to your compost.
  • Solid wood is porous and insulating. Closed sides prevent uneven composting.
  • Suitable for garden and kitchen vegetable waste.
  • Designed to work below waist height preventing back strain.
  • Made from FSC certified wood dipped in a non-toxic wood protection which will not kill worms or bugs in the compost (they are not pressure treated/tanalised). It is recommended that you re-treat annually with a similar product or preservative when the wood is dry.

love it! conall on 27 March 2021

Great simple elegant design and build. Looks great - i have other compost heaps that are away from the house but this one is going to be visible and it looks the part. Everything feels solid and robust. It took 5 minutes to put together. No thinking/tools/strength/improvising needed whatsoever. Couldnt have been be easier. One great tip (which is in the instructions) is to put a flat stone or slate under each of the posts- i am sure this will improve the lifetime of the posts
