The same Greenworks battery fits all tools in the same voltage range. For extra convenience, with two batteries you can do all the work using one while charging a second. Batteries come in 2Ah or 4Ah versions - the 4Ah versions last twice as long on a single charge (but are larger and heavier).

Bloody Brilliant!
We bought the mower, strimmer, hedge trimmer and leaf blower. Absolutely fab! Cannot praise this brand enough. So easy and efficient. All batteries fit each appliance, as long as youíve charged it all youíre good to go! My only negative is the weight of the strimmer, maybe Iím just a weak lung!
Works a treat.
The mower arrived in good time. After charging the batteries, off to mow the lawn, approx 100m. It made short work of the task. I'm really glad that I went for the self propelled version, it's a breeze. Changing the cut height is very easy, 1 simple movement. It didn't leave clumps of grass like my last petrol mower, although the grass box is on the small side, it's adequate. All in all, very pleased.
The jury's out
I've only used the lawn mower once, first cut of the year of shaggy grass. Mower was easy to assemble, cuts well, grass collection efficient, good self propulsion. It has stopped a couple of times and bleeped - battery still charged and machine not blocked, so no idea why. When charging the battery it soon shows green, indicating fully charged, but if you leave it on the charger the light goes red again and it continues charging. Battery life not great but I suspect it will be better on shorter, drier grass.
Sadly disappointed
Wanted to move away from petrol engines. Was pleased with how lightweight and simpler it was to use. Very disappointed with the battery life though. My lawn was appox 1.5 tennis court size and needed x5 battery charges to complete. With time needed between charges (even with x2 batteries), made it quite impractical. Have returned the mower. Look forward to later models with better battery life and maybe a bit more power to suck up leaves etc.
