The seat had obviously been left somewhere wet therefore there were issues that needed to be resolved in regard to rusty fittings and damaged wood. The actual quality of wood in my opinion is not great. I had to wait some time to get the whole seat but still feel disappointed with the quality and would invest more money in future for a better deal.

First one received was very bad. Split wood; exposed nails sticking through. This was replaced direct by Rowlinsons, but the finish quality on this one was still poor.
Assembly takes quite a while; instructions a bit vague in places. Some holes had to be re-drilled as they did not line up. The finished set then had to be sanded down to get rid of the rough edges to the wood to prevent splinters.
In the end it looks attractive, but not enough quality control during manufacture.
Greenfingers were very helpful throughout.
I advise anyone not to buy this product at all. It is very poor quality. Not finished at all to any standard. The wood is rough, and not just around the edges, split where the screws are, there is so much more. Please pay a little more and go for the Zest. Which I have. Rowlinsons have not been very helpful and it took over 2 weeks to get here, and quite abrupt about the quality. But Greenfingers have been amazing and very helpful.
